Nori

an edible laver seaweed, which is sold pressed into sheets and dried, usually toasted. The color can range from dark green to purple to black. It's mainly used to wrap sushi and sometimes as a garnish for other dishes. Ajitsuke nori is a type of nori flavored with soy sauce, often cut into strips for eating with steamed rice. Yakinori is toasted seaweed.
