Pomegranate Seeds

Also anardana. Dried pomegranate seeds, still encased in their flesh (now dark and wrinkled) and sometimes crushed, which are used as a garnish or ingredient in many traditional Asian, Indian and Middle Eastern dishes. Harvested from varieties, often wild, that produce fruit too bitter to eat fresh, the dried seeds can be used in desserts, meat dishes, pilafs and salads.
