Pumpkin Seed Oil

Also pumpkin oil. Oil made by pressing roasted pumpkin seeds to extract their liquid fat. First pressed in Styria, Austria, and still commonly available there, pumpkin seed oil has a strong flavor and can be overpowering in large quantities, so it is often used sparingly as an accent or in conjunction with other oils. It is rich in zinc, vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and is therefore a common ingredient in nutritional supplements.
