What you need:
• One set of 5- to 8-lb dumbbells
• Skipping rope

One-arm snatch
What it works: Strengthens your shoulders, the fronts of your arms, your thighs and your butt (deltoids, biceps, quadriceps, gluteus maximus)

How to do it: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Hold a weight in your right hand and rest your left hand on your hip [A]. Push your butt back and bend your knees, lowering the weight between your legs [B]. Press through your feet as you stand up, and curl the weight to your right shoulder [C]. press the weight overhead, keeping your wrist over your shoulder, and maintaining a slight bend in your elbow [D]. Lower the weight to shoulder height by bending your elbow, then lower the weight back to your side. Complete the set with your right hand and then switch sides.
