This series of yoga poses is known as a sun salutation. For best results, do them three to five times in a row, at least four times a week. Move from one pose into the next. Inhale as you stretch your body, and exhale as you bend. Breathing brings fresh oxygen to your muscles and allows you to move further into a pose.

What you will need: Yoga mat

What it works: Helps you create a rhythm of slow, steady breathing.

How to do it: Stand with your hands in a prayer position and your feet hip-width apart. Keep your weight evenly distributed between your feet. Take several deep breaths.
