Before your meal: These little dinnertime extras will help fill you up, but are still light on calories:
• Tomato juice (40 calories per 1 cup/250 mL);
• Salad with 2 tbsp (25 mL) of fat-free dressing (20 calories per 1 cup/250 mL);
• A 28 g whole wheat dinner roll (85 calories)

Instead of:
A 200-calorie bowl of creamy soup reconstituted with whole milk (1 cup/250 mL) and seasoned croutons (2 tbsp/25 mL)...
