Facts and tips for better hair
Decrease the heat
• Avoid using your blow dryer every day. By giving your hair a break from the heat, you are reducing the potential damage it can do to your hair. Dryness and breakage are signs to look for. Remember, the hotter the blow dryer, the more breakage it can cause, so try the low setting or air-dry your hair and use products that help your hair health.
Flyaway hair
• "Flyaway" hair is all too common in dry climates and where there is low humidity. This is caused by static electricity and having rough hair cuticles (the outer layer of the hair). The best way to control flyaway hair is to moisturize it through the use a hair conditioner, decrease the use of dryers and try to use alcohol-free styling products to decrease further drying.
Crash diets and your hair
• Besides the fact that they don't work in the long run, here's another reason to avoid crash diets: they can lead to significant hair loss. The most sensible approach to weight reduction is to simply increase your exercise levels while reducing your calorie intake.
Preventing hairline pimples
• Prevent breakouts on your scalp and hairline by:
1. Keeping hair products away from your scalp
2. Wearing clean hats or baseball caps that aren't so tight that they trap dirt and sweat
