Tea Light Crowns

You need:
• Tooling foil
• Gold and/or silver metallic pens (optional)
• Tea lights
• Pencil, masking tape, glue stick, scissors

To make:

1. For each tea light: Cut foil into strip 4 to 5 cm (1-1/2 to 2 in) high and long enough to fit around tea light with 2.5 cm (1-in) overlap; wrap around light and tape overlap.

2. Slip foil off light and cut top edge as desired. Remove tape and lay strip flat, wrong side up, on firm surface.

3. Using pencil point, make series of indented "dots" at 2 mm (1/16-in) intervals along desired design lines (if desired, emboss solid lines by heavily redrawing design lines). Ensure that design matches at overlap. If desired, highlight with metallic pens in contrasting colours, as shown.

4. Wrap around light; glue overlap.
