Hi friends, If the weather where you are is anything like the weather here, you're probably not in the mood for working on any warm and wooly projects right now. I'm ignoring the socks, sweaters and quilts in my work pile right now, and thinking instead about...well, about frozen treats. And also cotton yarn. Because if you're going to craft at this time of year, cotton yarn is where it's at. And guess what happened to arrive in the Make+Do mailbox the other day? A basket chock-full of cotton yarn just like this: Christa at Patons must have known this heatwave was coming, because she sent along 18 balls of Patons Grace mercerized cotton in the new and oh-so-refreshing- looking colours of Aquifer and Lemon-Lime – perfect for a bit of heat-wave crafting. She also sent along a copy of Grace Spring Style (patterns to knit and crochet). Plus! A super-cute crocheted change purse, with a pattern, which I'll post here for you tomorrow. To enter to win the basket of yarn, pattern book, and change purse, have a look at the selection of colours of Patons Grace and leave a comment on this post telling me which one's your favourite. (I can't decide!) You can enter until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 11; I'll post the winner here on Monday, July 12. (And don't forget about the Roll Call! Tell me what you like about Make+Do, and what you'd like to see more of on the blog, and you could win a copy of Canadian Living The Barbecue Collection cookbook . Enter here.) Good luck!
