Giveaway #65: Make Your Own Toys

Hello again, There's not much I love more than finding a big envelope from a publishing company on my desk, and envelopes from Potter Craft are no exception. Thanks to them, this week I've got a brand-new book to give away. make-your-own-toys In Make Your Own Toys by Sue Havens, you'll find directions for making all manner of toys, including the jaunty little monkey you see above, cuddly kitty cats, teddy bears and roly-poly piglets. There are 22 patterns in all (you'll need to enlarge them on the photocopier), accompanied by step-by-step instructions and hand-drawn how-to pictures. If you're a softie enthusiast (or perhaps, know one – maybe one of your kids?) I can see hours of fun in this book. Dare I say that it might get you a bit ahead on your Christmas list? For your chance to win, leave a comment on this post telling me what sort of fabric you think I should use to make a Chaps Apron. Right now, I'm leaning toward this...what do you think? Feel free to leave a link to the fabric of your choice in the comments, but be aware that comments with URLs need to be approved and won't appear on the site immediately. Comments will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, August 2; I'll post a winner here on Tuesday, August 3. Good luck!
