Years ago, I started a tradition of making Christmas ornaments for my family and friends, including this felt gingerbread man ornament, one of my favourites. Each year, they look forward to receiving this year's ornament. It takes some work, but it warms my heart when I see their trees full of ornaments that I've made. I look forward to sharing many more ornaments and memories with all of them.

You need
• Brown Felt
• Cotton Batting
• Cotton or embroidery thread
• Beads and buttons

To make:
1. Cut out two gingerbread man shapes out of brown felt, and one out of cotton batting. (This can be done freehand, or a cookie cutter can be used as a template.)

2. Choose one of the gingerbread man cutouts as the top piece. Decorate this one using beads, buttons and stitching.

3. Place cotton batting between the two gingerbread man pieces; stitch the pieces together.

4. Attach a piece of thread or yarn at the top of head as a hanger. Voilà – you have a gingerbread man ornament!
