This scarf is knit in the round in stockinette stitch with double-pointed needles. This creates a scarf that is seamless and warm, and the edges will not curl. Prepare your fringe before you knit and you'll be sure not to run out of yarn.

Materials
• 290 yds of DK weight yarn in Colour A
• 290 yds of DK weight yarn in Colour B
(Yarn used in photo: Fable Handknit Pure Baby Alpaca, 100% baby alpaca. Colours: #16 and #06.)
• Size 6 (4 mm) double-pointed needles, set of 4
• Stitch marker
• Tape measure
• Yarn needle
• Crochet hook

Gauge
• 22 sts x 30 rows = 4 ins in St st

Finished measurements

• Length: 67 ins
• Width: 2-1/2 ins after blocking

Directions
1. CO 36 sts on dpn with Colour A. Divide sts evenly onto three needles. Place marker at end of rnd. Join, being careful not to twist.

2. Work in St st (knit every round) for 36 rnds. Piece measures 4-1/2 ins.

3. Break off Colour A, leaving a tail; switch to Colour B, and knit 36 rnds.

4. Continue alternating yarns, knitting 36 rnds with each, until there are 8 sections of Colour A and 7 sections of Colour B.

5. Bind off. Weave in ends with yarn needle. To close up any gaps caused by switching colours, use the yarn needle to cross yarn over to opposite side and weave yarns in a zigzag direction.

6. Block scarf: Soak in cool water. Towel off excess water. Lay flat, making sure that the stitches lie straight.

7. Prepare the fringe. Cut 20 sets of three strands in Colour A. Fold three strands of yarn in half to form a loop. With crochet hook, pull loop through the front and back layer of scarf. Pull the ends of the strands through the loop and pull gently. Space fringe evenly. Trim fringe if desired.

Tip: For a perfect trim for the fringe, use a paper cutter or rotary cutter and ruler.
