10 Great Family Day Activities in Toronto

Family Day Fun in Toronto: 10 different ways! Family Day is February 17, though there are related events and activities throughout the weekend.  We polled the parents on the Canadian Living staff and here are the team's picks for you and your family to celebrate Family Day together.

1. Kids-Fest at the International Centre takes place February 16 and 1). Entice the kids with a  indoor inflatable divesrion where they can jump, bounce, run and play in a warehouse full of huge inflatables. 2. Woofjocks Canine Performance Team Demos at Pawsway. Bring your dog (and kids!) and enjoy the canine demonstrations and obedience performances, plus face-painting, dog-handling acts and other activities. 3. Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park, which has locations in in Mississauga and Toronto, invites parents, teens and younger kids to leap into the action and defy gravity as they play 3-D Dodgeball and other dynamic games in the all-trampoline walled playing court. 4. Ontario Science Centre. Lots to choose from: the new AstraZeneca Human Edge exhibition (80-plus exhibits) highlights the wonders of the human body. For small fry there's the  Sesame Street Presents: The Body, an interactive hands-on exhibit where kid explore on their own. 5. TIFF: Films on Family Day TIFF Bell Lightbox hosts international short films to entertain kiddies ages 4 and older. Plus, Buttonography provides children with the opportunity to customize and create their very won wearable buttons. There's also great animation (which will impress the grown-ups, too). Royal Ontario Museum kids and family day fun 6.  Royal Ontario Museum Wildlife Family Day Weekend. Just picture bugs, insects, huge mammals and eye-popping reptiles, plus the Earth Rangers animal show (live reptiles, anyone) and let us not forget the bats! 7. AGO => KGO: Art Gallery of Ontario becomes the Kids Gallery of Ontario for one day only.. Activities include an all-day dance party, floor games, family yoga, art classes, kid-friendly films. 8. CN Tower Family Fun: views from the Look Out and Glass Floor never fail to amaze and delight. Special admission rate Feb. 14 to 17. 9. Family Day weekend at the Toronto Zoo. Make it a memorable day with visits to see the Arctic wolves, reindeer, foxes and the polar bear. The Polar Bear Fest includes: meet-the-keeper talks and polar bear photo-bombing. 10. Family Skate Day at Evergreen Brick Works: This is one of Toronto's best-kept winter secrets – the outdoor skating rink down in the Don Valley.
