Drone collects beautiful footage of surfers along Mentawai Islands

There are many reasons I love the Internet, but one of the foremost reasons is the fact that people are able to share information, videos, photos and so much more, simply with the click of a few buttons. Yes, there are people who misuse this awesome gift, but many use it well. One super cool video, in particular, has caught my attention these days. I've watched it a handful of times already. It's of surfers along the coast of the Mentawai Islands. In his video description Paul Borrud says he spent 11 days surfing the Mentawi Islands in June 2014. "The conditions were perfect the entire trip with light offshore winds and plenty of swell to go around," he says. "I was able to capture some pretty interesting angles using Phyllis (name of my drone). Enjoy the highlights of our trip and experience the beauty of the Islands from above." Watch the whole thing, but my favourite parts are at 1:03, 3:03 and 3:22. Make sure your speakers are on too, because if you like global fusion music, the song will really speak to your heart. It's called Mapusa by Mashti, mixed for an album called Danish Delights. [HTML1] Honestly, how cool is this video? And the footage? It's simply amazing. Aside from the obvious fact that our planet is breathtaking, this drone has captured footage that allows us to have a wild experience from our own chair. Pretty cool, eh? Have you stumbled across any awesome videos on the WWW that have inspired your soul?
