Travel Talk: Postcard-perfect Newfoundland

Great glaciers! I'm lucky if I receive two postcards each year. That's a pittance when you consider how many of my closest pals are travellers. I remember when friends and family would put aside a couple hours of each trip to send postcards home. The advent of email changed all that. Mustn't grumble.  Social media and digital advances mean I get even better vacation photos - and faster. My friends Lois and Steve, who are currently on a road trip (via motorcycle) through Newfoundland, are keeping us abreast of their travels through Facebook and regular email updates. I just had to share the pics they took last week. These photos of icebergs near St. Anthony's, Newfoundland, and also Rocky Harbour, absolutely took my breath away. "Arrived tired but enthusiastically ready to see our first icebergs and we have not been disappointed so far. There are at least 50 that we can see both fairly close to land and others far out on the horizon."

Inspire the rest of us by sharing your great Canadian travel experience. Email it to me (with a few details on where it was taken) and we'll feature it on this blog. Just send to DougCanLiving@canadianliving.com.
