The ever-talented Jimmy Fallon has just added children’ s book author to his already impressive resume. Although the late night talk show host had been working with daughter Winnie to ensure that her first word was dada, the bragging rights actually belong to her mama, Nancy Juvonen Fallon. He told People magazine that everything he gave to her was called Dada. Formula. Avocados. Whatever it was, he'd point, say Dada, and then hand it over figuring that by the time she'd be ready to talk, Dada would be the first word out of her mouth. Good try, Jimmy! Sadly, it didn't give him the results he was after. Not wanting fellow dads to miss out on this very important milestone, Jimmy has published his first children's book, Your Baby's First Word Will Be Dada (available June 2015). "This is one of the few celebrity books that you can tell was actually written by a celebrity". he jokes. The picture book is a funny interpretation of how various animals - cows, sheep, horses and mice - coach their offspring to say "dada". Interestingly, none of my children said mama first. They all said dada. I wonder if their father did a little bit of coaching himself! What was your baby's first word? Click here to pre-order the book.
