Tourism Toronto launches campaign showcasing Toronto's beauty, diversity and bragging rights.

It's no secret that Toronto has upped its cool game in recent years. Canada's largest city has a lot to be proud of —its multicultural diversity, booming food, arts and culture scenes, and celebrity exports — and it wants to flaunt it. Politely, of course.

Kicking off the city’s 183rd birthday this week with a video called "The Views Are Different Here,"  Tourism Toronto highlights some of Toronto's most beautiful landmarks and the city's proudest claims to fame, subtly including Drake and Jose Bautista, along with Pride celebrations, Caribana, a bustling Chinatown, and ballet dancers full-out busting their moves on the TTC.

Tourism Toronto says the video was meant to convey the "iconic  physical views and the open-minded views that define Toronto." It also dubs Toronto as "Canada's downtown."

“Toronto is a truly unique city filled with spectacular views of architecture, neighbourhoods, culture and the lake, and also a place where you’ll find a unique way of looking at the world,” said Andrew Weir, the Chief Marketing Officer of Tourism Toronto in a press release.

The campaign has been getting a lot of love on social media, along with a healthy dose of snark and suggestions for what else could have been included.
