Music gifts to Get, Give and Play
By Miriam Osborne. Advertiser SPOTLIGHT

Growing up in my home, Christmas music was a huge part of our celebration.
From classics like Elvis Presley singing The Christmas Song to Boney M –
a personal holiday favourite – singing Mary's Boy Child (Oh My Lord), holiday music was as much a part of Christmas as Santa and his reindeer. And we started playing them as early as possible! Now, with a home of my own, I still play Christmas music to me get into the spirit! I still listen to my all-time favourites. But a number of newer holiday songs have crept their way onto my play list – from Susan Boyle’s Silent Night and Mariah Carey’s O Holy Night to Céline Dion’s take on a holiday staple, The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire).
Of course, music is a lot more than just Christmas – it plays an integral role in our lives, even when we don’t realize it. So why not pass on the wonderful gift of music to your loved ones this holiday?
