Thanks for the column "The Next Breast Thing" ("Motherlode," February), a positive and realistic look at extended breast-feeding. There's not a lot out there about the subject. I am an extended breast-feeder myself; my son weaned in December at age 4. There were many times I found myself a closet breast-feeder because people are just not aware of extended breast-feeding.
