My wife and I would like to thank you for the article "Blood, Sweat & Tears" (November). Our son has just entered the Royal Military College (RMC), and Jennifer Power Scott did a wonderful job capturing the pain and the exhilaration of the aspiring officers as they beat challenge after challenge. I think that many young people today just want to have a hint of meaning in their lives, and dedicating their zeal and energy to the larger cause of peace-making is one of humankind's highest aspirations. We are very proud of the work being done at RMC, and grateful to Canadian Living for bringing it to life.
