I was thrilled to read your informative and excellent article about heart health ("Mending Broken Hearts," February). As a follow up, I'd love to see a story about another hot topic in cardiac care – women and heart disease. It is the number one cause of death in Canada and the U.S., accounting for more deaths than breast, uterine and cervical cancers combined.

But research shows that most women and physicians are unaware of this. There is a lot of new research regarding women with heart disease, heart attack symptoms and increased risks that are not shared with men who have heart disease. I think this issue would be of particular interest to your female readers.
