I just wanted all the readers to know about the delicious Jewel-Topped Cheesecake (“Let Them Eat Cheesecake,” December). It was our turn to host Christmas for my husband’s family and I really wanted a showstopper for dessert. When I saw this cheesecake, I knew it was it.

I had never made a cheesecake before, but I was willing to attempt this one because it just looked decadent. Believe me, it was definitely a showstopper, and definitely decadent. It was perfect!
