How to organize coupons:
• As soon as you clip a coupon, place it in your coupon book - which can be a simple file folder stapled at the sides - and do a quick check at the beginning of the month for expiry dates. While you are doing this, you will remember the coupons you do have inside your folder.
• Always leave your coupon book in the car so you have it handy.
• Don't buy items for the mere sake of a using a coupon unless you want to try a new product.
I always take 10 minutes to read sale flyers that come out every week and I write down the items that I need. I then pull the applicable coupons from my coupon book and attach them to my list. When I go grocery shopping, I reap double rewards: the item I need is on sale and I have a coupon. I enjoy reading the bottom of my bill to see how much money I have saved.
