This book is similar to the scrapbooks that you buy, except that by making it yourself you can give it your own flare. It has a hard cover and is designed so that you can add more pages later.
You will need:
•2 pieces of decorative cover paper, 34 cm x 30 cm (13 1/2 in. x 12 in.)
•2 pieces contrasting decorative paper, 28 cm x 24 cm (11 in. x 9 1/2 in.)
•2 strips 2.5 cm x 28 cm (1 in. x 11 in.)
•2 pieces of matte board, 22.5 cm x 29 cm (8 3/4 in. x 11 1/2 in.)
•2 pieces of matte board, 2.5 cm x 29 cm (1 in. x 11 1/2 in.)
•10 pieces of thick paper, such as Canson or Mayfair, 24.5 cm x 28 cm (9 3/4 in. x 11 in.)
•a hammer and a large nail, or a drill with a 0.5 cm (1/4 in.) bit
•a block of wood
•2 decorative cords, 60 cm (24 in.) long and 0.25 cm (1/8 in.) in diameter
•newspaper
•white glue
•a plastic container
•a glue brush
•bulldog clamps
•a ruler
•a pencil
•wax paper
•heavy books
