Prince George starts a new trend in baby clothes

Prince George, Kate Middleton and Prince William will fly: Babies on planes

It’s been months since we got an official photo of Prince George. He hasn’t been seen publicly since his christening. But today we finally got a new family photo of the Camrbidges. And of course it’s adorable. George is clearly in love with his dog Lupo.

The photo was taken by Jason Bell, the same photographer who took the official christening photos. The laid back photo shows the royal family smiling from a window at their apartment at Kensington Palace.

But what caught my attention about this photo was George’s sweater. How cute is this baby blue sweater with his name emblazoned across the front?

George is a lot like his mom, in that anything he wears sells out. The Aden and Anais blanket he was wrapped in when he left the hospital sold out immediately. Sadly, we can’t buy this sweater because it was made especially for George  by royal warrant holders, Corgi Hosiery, who gifted the sweater to Prince Charles as a present to his grandson.

I’m sure parents everywhere are going to be looking for sweaters with their baby’s name on it. I bet retailers like Baby Gap and the Children’s Place will be jumping on this trend, selling sweaters with names on them so that babies across the world can be just like the little prince.

Really this trend isn’t surprising. Babies tend to have a lot of monogrammed clothing. Actually so do most adults. But leave it to little George to take this trend a step further.

I wonder if I can get an adult size sweater with my name on it? Maybe Kate can start this trend for grown-ups too.

Love Prince George’s baby style? Here’s how you can copy it for your little one.
