I am currently nursing my six-month-old child and do not menstruate. Can I still get pregnant even though I have not had a period?

Dear Mom, You absolutely can get pregnant before you menstruate. You ovulate before you have a period, and therefore pregnancy is a possibility. In fact, I have many lovely children under my care who were born to breastfeeding moms who thought they couldn't get pregnant. --Dr C.
