Why make your own Baby food?
A month before I gave birth to Liam, my first child, I attended a birthday party for my friend's son, Rowan. After the "veteran" parents escorted their toddlers to the table, I stared in amazement at Rowan, who ate his birthday meal of broccoli, green beans, red pepper and carrots, while neighbouring children pushed away everything but fish-shaped crackers. What had my friend done to produce this veggie-loving pita eater? As I watched, I heard his mother say, "I made all his food from scratch.' I was sold.
