The easiest after-school recipes ever

Your kids will love making their own snacks with these easy after-school recipes.
As fun as they are functional, these quick snack recipes appeal to kids' palates with flavours of sweet and salty, while maintaining a healthy balance of vitamins and minerals for growing bodies.

Be sure to supervise young chefs where sharp knives and hot elements are involved.

Try these after-school munchies today!

Sweet Potato Skins
1. Cut baked sweet potato into quarters and scoop out flesh. Brush with oil and bake in 450°F toaster oven until crispy.
2. Sprinkle with shredded Swiss cheese. Bake again until melted.
3. Top with a dollop of plain yogurt.
4. Sprinkle with sliced green onion.
Salsa also makes a great topper.

Almond Apple Stacks
1. Cut thick slices of apple.
2. Spread with crunchy almond butter.
3. Top with banana slices.
4. Drizzle with honey.
Pile them up to make a fun stack.
