Staying home this March Break? Here's a list of free activities the whole family will enjoy across Canada.

Alberta: March 22- April 2
Create some paper crafts at the Edmonton Public Library on March 25. The program is best for children ages 6-12.

Spend some quality time with your baby and other caregivers. March Break at the Edmonton Public Library with their ''Baby Laptime''. This program is suitable for babies up to 12 months old.

From March 22nd to April 1st, visit Calgary's Heritage Park for their Spring Rally in the Alley from 9:30 am - 4 pm.

Make some crafts at Deerfoot Mall's Kids Club in Calgary on Thursday, March 28th at Deerfoot Mall's centre court from 10 a.m. - noon.

British Columbia: March 15-25
Learn how to be prepared for and recover from an earthquake with an earthquake preparedness class at Vancouver's Kerrisdale community centre on March 19 at 7 p.m.

Drop by Vancouver's Central Library on 350 W. Georgia Street on Monday March 18 where Joel Dicker will present his new book La Verite sur l'Affaire Harry Quebert from 6 - 8 p.m. The discussion will be in French.

Visit the Greater Victoria Public library for a list of spring break events, including some great DIY crafts.

Manitoba: March 22- April 1
On March 25th, learn nifty tricks and helpful techniques on how to identify when an old family photo was taken. Learn about your heritage and family history at the Millennium Library in the Carol Shields Auditorium in Winnipeg from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.

The Manitoba Chamber Orchestra will perform in several of Winnipeg's libraries, free of charge. Their performances feature a variety of different music, but especially fiddle music. To see when they play, click here.

New Brunswick's: March 1-11
Spend some quality time with your family and catch a showing of Disney and Pixar's Brave at Fredericton Public Library on March 6 at 2 p.m.

Sign up for a free, hour-long fashion design workshop at Fredericton's Public Library on March 7 at 10:30 a.m.

Newfoundland & Labrador: March 8-18
Head up on to Marjorie Mews Public Library in St. John's for March Musical Madness on March 8 after school for their monthly after school club meeting. This month's theme: music! Drop in at 3:30 pm for fun stories, crafts, games and, of course, music! Registration is required, and anyone in grade 1 and up can attend.

Drop into Ross King Memorial Public Library in St. John's for St. Patrick's Day Storytime on March 13. Stories and crafts will be conducted with Ms. Patricia at 7 p.m. There is no registration necessary, but for more information, click here.

Northwest Territories: March break dates differs in each territory

Yellowknife's March break is March 16- April 1
Have some one-on-one time with your child (between 18-36 months) at the Yellowknife Public Library during ''Toddler time'' on March 19 and 26 from 10:30 - 11: 30 a.m.

On Saturday, March 30 from 1:30- 3 p.m., drop into the Yellowknife Public Library for the ''Home on the range'' event, where kids join in songs, stories and crafts all having to do with the cowboy way of life. Register by March 23, as there is a maximum of 20 people.
