Origami toads

Your kids will leap at the chance to make and race these hopping toads.

Meet Tip-Toe Tommy Toad, the fastest toad in the west. You can make your own leaping critter using the traditional Japanese paper-folding art called origami. Make a few toads with your friends for a jumping contest or a hopping race to the finish line.

Here's what to do: Origami begins with a perfectly square piece of paper. Origami paper works best, and can be found at any art supply, craft, or toy store. Regular bond paper will work too, but must be made into a perfect square. Fodl as follows to make your toad:
