I love this roast on a cold winters evening. It is super fast to get in the oven and uses things I always have in my pantry. The flavors are not overpowering and add a delicate taste to the beef that are very flavorful. My family loves when I make this roast and also the aroma in the house during cooking is mouth watering.

Ingredients

  • 4 lb roast of pork 4 lb roast of pork or roast of beef
  • 2 tbsp crushed ginger 2 tbsp crushed ginger
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 4 tbsp crushed garlic 4 tbsp crushed garlic
  • 2 tbsp pure sesame oil 2 tbsp pure sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dried marjoram 1 tsp dried marjoram
  • 1 dash sea salt 1 dash sea salt
  • 1 dash fresh ground pepper 1 dash fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tsp dried onion flakes 1 tsp dried onion flakes
  • 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes 4 medium Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 2 cups water 2 cups water

Preparation

Mix all of the ingredients except for the potatoes and water together. Put the roast in a roasting pan and pour the sauce over top, rubbing in to the roast so it is completely covered in it. Add the water to the pan (but NOT on the roast). Add the diced potatoes around the roast. Cover with foil and put in preheated oven at 375 degrees for around 65 minutes or until cooked.

Additional information : The ingredients can be upsized to accommodate larger roasts.
