Bannock

This recipe makes 12 servings

Bannock made easy.
Ingredients
- 4 cups all purpose flour 4 cups all purpose flour
- 4 tbsp baking powder 4 tbsp baking powder
- 2 cups water 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Preparation
Add water until mixture is sticky. Goop onto a baking pan and spread. You can knead the bread prior to placing on pan, but I don't like to get my fingers too sticky.
Poke holes with a fork and score in middle. Bake till crust is brown and tooth pick comes out clean. Serve.
Traditional condiments include lard, butter, jam, or honey.
