This broccoli/cheese/rice casserole is one that I often enjoy with my mother. It's a light supper dish which can be accompanied by crusty garlic bread and a dessert or fruit dish.
Preparation
Parboil the broccoli for five minutes and drain. Cook the rice for 10 minutes and drain. Combine milk, soup, cheese, and butter in a small pot. Cook for 5 minutes. Butter a 9" x 13" rectangular dish. Combine the broccoli, rice, and soup mixture. Arrange in the rectangular dish. Sprinkle with Romano cheese. Cook for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
