Our family enjoys this grilled sandwich at our cottage on the Big Rideau Lake. Keeps you out of the kitchen on hot days!
Ingredients
- 2 slices sour dough bread 2 2slices slicessour dough bread
- 3 slices smoked ham 3 3slices slicessmoked ham
- 2 slices extra old Cheddar cheese 2 2slices slicesextra old cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard , grainy or smooth2 2tbsp tbspDijon mustard, grainy or smooth
Preparation
Preheat the BBQ. Slice the sour dough bread to desired thickness. Butter one slice of bread with mustard. Top with Ham and Cheese. Brush outside of bread with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Place on Preheated BBQ and close lid. Check after approx. 1 minute - flip when cheese has started to melt. Grill to desired doneness. Enjoy with a fresh salad and beverage!
