Creamy Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Brussels sprouts 2 lbs Brussels sprouts
  • 1/2 cup onions , chopped1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup sour cream 1 cup sour cream

Preparation

Cook sprouts (seperately) until tender.

For the sauce:
saute onions in butter until clear but not brown. Stir in flour, sugar, salt and mustard.

Stir in milk, cook slowly until thick. Blend in sour cream and heat - do not boil.

Add sauce to cooked Brussels sprouts.
