Ingredients
- 1/2 package dry elbow macaroni 1/2 1/2package packagedry elbow macaroni
- 500 grams cheese 500 500grams gramscheese
- 1 lb bacon , optional1 1lb lbbacon or ham, optional
Preparation
Cook macaroni according to directions Shred cheese med. cheddar or any combo you like Saute cut up bacon until done, not crisp. If you use ham, cut it into bite sized pieces, don't precook. Put drained bacon or ham into the bottom of a 3 Liter rectangle glass pan. Drain macaroni and run under cold water Put 1/2 macaroni in the pan, in an even layer Spread 1/2 of the cheese over macaroni and repeat the last two steps. Heat casserole in a 375 F oven for 20 to 30 min. For extra crispy top, turn on broiler for 3 to 5 min. Let cool for 10 min. Cut into any size portions and serve.
