One of my mother's best friends gave her this recipe years ago. It's absolutely delicious and whenever I serve it, everyone wants the recipe for it.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup cooking oil 1/4 1/4cup cupcooking oil
- 1 medium onion , diced1 1medium mediumonion, diced
- 1 medium green pepper , diced1 1medium mediumgreen pepper, diced
- 1 dash garlic salt 1 1dash dashgarlic salt
- 1 cup Cheez Whiz 1 1cup cupCheez Whiz
- 1 can mushrooms , drained1 1can canmushrooms, drained
- 1 19 oz. can cream corn 1 119 oz. can 19 oz. cancream corn
- 1 can tomato soup 1 1can cantomato soup
- 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 1/4tsp tspsalt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper 1/2 1/2tsp tspblack pepper
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 2 2tbsp tbspWorcestershire sauce
- 1 pkg (12 oz) paper thin noodles 1 1pkg (12 oz) pkg (12 oz)paper thin noodlepaper thin noodles or broad noodles
Preparation
In the frying pan, put the oil, diced onion and green pepper and garlic salt. Cook a few minutes until transparent and then brown the hamburger. In a large bowl, mix the cheese whiz, drained mushrooms, cream corn, tomato soup, salt and pepper, and worchestershire sauce. Cook 1 package of 12oz. paper thin or broad noodles, then add them and the mixture from the frying pan into the bowl and stir until combined. (Try using only 3/4's of the noodles, as an entire package might be too much. Use discretion.) Place into 2 casserole dishes and cook at 350 degrees for 30 mins.
