I have made these numerous times and am often told they are the best cookies people have tasted.
Preparation
1 package of yellow cake mix ½ cup butter cut into small pieces (cold as possible) 1 cup of chocolate chips 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (or almond extract) ½ cup of chopped walnuts or almonds (optional) 1 egg. Preheat oven to 350? Blend cake mix butter, vanilla and egg in food processor until crumbly. Add in chocolate chips and walnuts. Form into balls (add a little flour if necessary) Place on lightly greased cookie sheet allowing room for cookies to expand three times width. (I use parchment paper as chocolate melts during baking) Bake for about 12-17 minutes or until brown Allow to cool completely before removing. Makes 4 dozen cookies
