Gluten Free Teryaki sauce

If you're an occasional Japanese cook you'll have the ingredients in your pantry already. This sauce is much cheaper to make than the grocery store version. I developed it for recipe was developed for a family member's gluten-free diet but it enjoyed by all.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Tamari , sauce (made from rice)1/2 1/2cup cupTamari, sauce (made from rice)
- 1/2 cup mirin 1/2 1/2cup cupmirin
- 2 tbsp sugar 2 2tbsp tbspsugar or honey
- 1 dash sesame oil , (optional)1 1dash dashsesame oil, (optional)
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Stir mixture well and on medium heat, bring mixture to a boil.Turn heat to low and simmer for a few minutes. Remove from heat and cool.Store teryaki sauce in a clean bottle in the fridge. Use as glaze on chicken and beef when grilling or barbecuing or in any recipe that calls for teryaki sauce.
