The classic accompaniment to those summer backyard BBQ feasts. This recipe makes a great base for adding your own personal flair.

Ingredients

  • 300 g elbow macaroni , uncooked300 g elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp white vinegar 3 tbsp white vinegar
  • 3 dashes hot sauce , optional3 dashes hot sauce, optional
  • 1 tsp salt 1 tsp salt
  • 1-1/2 cups medium Cheddar cheese , cubed1-1/2 cups medium Cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 2 cups cooked ham , cubed2 cups cooked ham, cubed
  • 3 stalks celery , diced3 stalks celery, diced

Preparation

Cook macaroni as directed on package; drain. Rinse with cold water and drain again. Set aside.

In a large bowl, thoroughly combine sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, hot sauce (if using), and salt. Stir in ham, cheese, macaroni, and celery until well coated.

Cover and chill.
