This is a great dip to bring to a party as an appetizer. Everybody will absolutely love it! My mother started to make it for me years ago so I could bring it to parties. My friends still request that I bring it whenever we're getting together. Serve it with tortilla chips, or any type of cracker.
Ingredients
- 300 mL pizza sauce 300 300mL mLpizza sauce
- 250 g cream cheese 250 250g gcream cheese
- 1/2 lb bacon , chopped1/2 1/2lb lbbacon, chopped
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese , shredded1 1cup cupCheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/2 1/2cup cupmayonnaise
- 3 tbsp Italian seasoning 3 3tbsp tbspItalian seasoning
- 1/2 red onion 1/2 1/2red onionred onions
Preparation
Chop bacon and cook in pan or in a bowl in your microwave until crispy. Chop red onion. Leave cream cheese out, or microwave till soft. Mix mayonnaise and italian seasoning in a bowl with cream cheese. Spread cream cheese mixture in a 9 inch pie pan. Spread pizza sauce over top. Add onion and bacon ontop of pizza sauce, sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake in oven at 350ºF for approximately 30 min, or until cheese starts to bubble.
