Easy and a different way to serve pork chops and rice.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops 4 pork chops
  • 2 cups raw rice , (use minute rice)2 cups raw rice, (use minute rice)
  • 2 cans (10 oz/284 mL each) consumme beef soup 2 cans (10 oz/284 mL each) consumme beef soup
  • 1 small onion , chopped1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks , diced2 celery stalks, diced
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup green pepper , (optional)1/2 cup green pepper, (optional)
  • 1 pinch marjoram 1 pinch marjoram
  • 1 pinch thyme 1 pinch thyme

Preparation

Brown pork chops, in a 10 x 13 dish add rice, onions, clery, pepper, and mushrooms. Sprinkle over top the marjorim and tyme. Add the cans of Cosume soup, stri mixture till rice is covered with soup, add about 1/4 cup of water to clean out the cans. Add pork chops to the top and cook at 350 degrees for 1 hour or till rice is cooked. I use minute rice as it usually all cooks. Make a salad and enjoy.
