I wanted to be able to have warm fresh real cheese bread that was fun and easy to make in advance, for everyone. The presentation and smell of fresh baking bread is mouthwatering.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf frozen white bread or multigrain bread
  • 1/4 lb butter or margarine
  • 1/4 lb grated Canadian Colby cheese

Preparation

Thaw dough in refrigerator overnight. Cut loaf into 12 slices. Roll in melted butter. Next roll in grated Canadian Colby cheese. Place slices side by side in bundt or tube pan. Place in a warm, draft-free place (like an unlit oven) until dough rises to top of pan (about 2 to 4 hours). Bake at 350 degrees, center oven, for about 20 minutes. Let cool and remove from pan to serve. (You can double this recipe quite easily but increase baking time to 30/35 minutes.) This bread looks terrific during presentation, separates so easily and tastes oh-so-good!
