This is simple and the very best dressing recipe ever!
Ingredients
- 6 cups bread crumbs , cubed6 6cups cupsbread crumbs or bread, cubed
- 1 inch melted butter 1 1inch inchmelted butter
- 1 tsp salt 1 1tsp tspsalt
- 1 tbsp sage 1 1tbsp tbspsage
- 1 tbsp poultry seasoning 1 1tbsp tbsppoultry seasoning
- 3 medium chopped onions 3 3medium mediumchopped oniononions
- 3 tbsp water 3 3tbsp tbspwater
- 1 large eggs , slightly beaten1 1large largeeggeggs, slightly beaten
Preparation
1. Chop and measure the bread crumbs. Add salt. 2. Add poultry seasoning and sage. 3. Beat egg and mix in. 4. Measure butter into a pot and add onion. Cook till butter is melted and onion is clear. 5. Cool mixture above and add to crumb mixture. 6. Add water and mix till dressing sticks together. 7. Move mixture into a pan (oven proof) and bake at 350 F. for 1 hour. Left over dressing can be covered and reheated in microwave or oven for another day.
