Evaluate your relationships

Take our quiz and examine your relationships. PLUS, check out 18 connection-building activities.

By George Bartko

• Spend one day being nice to everyone you meet. Be conscious of every interaction and treat people as you would want to be treated. See how good that feels.

• Take a day off from work, televisions, or any other activity to be with someone you love.

• Have a friend night or vacation. Taking time away to be with friends is an important time for you and them.

• Plan a let-it-go day. Spend the day reconciling all issues with people in your life so you can move on.

• Plan for physical romance. Yes, in this hectic world of ours it can help to schedule time for romantic connection. Give a massage, make love, or just spend quiet time touching.

• Reinvent. Pick a relationship that may have become stale and devise a plan to give it new life.

• Plan a party. Bring together as many important people as you can to celebrate their influence in your life.

• Eliminate. As important as it is to surround yourself with the best people in your life, it is equally important to know when someone is draining you. Take a day to say goodbye to that person.

• Praise someone in your life for a small accomplishment. It could be as simple as saying "You are the best mother" or "Thanks for caring for me so much."
