My my, how quickly tastes change in this fickle world of fashion. In the last few seasons, we've seen the year of the leopard (print) but the pattern for this fall season is a whole different animal. In fact the must-have print doesn't even come from a mammal — it's the year of the python. But the new print on the block is a faux snake skin and more specifically a python print. We saw the skin used at the Gucci, Prada and Valentino shows. Unlike leopard print I think python translates better in accessories. Small hits of the skin are far more wearable than large chunks of it. Unless you are spending big bucks on high quality fabrics, a pair of python printed pants in a poly-blend can look cheap — fast.
