Did you watch the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night? I only managed to catch a few glimpses of the telecast, but on Monday I more than made up for it. I spent the better part of the morning devouring slideshow after slideshow to get a recap of the red carpet hits and misses. Hands down the best fashion look of the evening goes to Marion Cotillard in a stunning two-tone Dior Haute Couture gown – it was breathtaking. No one even came close to outshining her. The beauty field was far more competitive, though. Although I wasn't a fan of Jessica Chastain's sculpted hair at the Golden Globes I loved her hair and makeup at the SAG Awards. Another makeup look I was smitten with was Sofia Vergara's. It was downright sexy, in a good way. [caption id="attachment_8426" align="aligncenter" width="469"] Photo courtesy of Covergirl[/caption] To complement Vergara's white hot Donna Karan Atelier dress (which was teamed with Charlotte Olympia shoes, a Jimmy Choo bag and Neil Lane bling) makeup artist Kayleen McAdams wanted to be playful with her makeup. "Her white dress gave me a bare canvas for her face," say McAdams. "I was able to bring an element of colour with purple eye shadow," she adds. This was the Modern Family star's first time wearing bight eye shadow on the red carpet. And I just adore it, especially paired with the strong brows. EYES: Vergara's eyelids were swept with Covergirl SmokyShadowBlast in Purple Plume. After the creamy colour was smudged, a liquid liner in a deep purple was applied all along the top and bottom of her lashes. McAdams finished the look with a healthy coat of mascara: "three coats of Covergirl LashBlast Clump Crusher Mascara in Very Black," she says. Do you like Sofia's smoky purple eyes?
