Jessica Chastain: Sustainably fashionable at Vanity Fair’s Academy Award after party

GUEST POST:  Alissa Heidman is a small town girl who recently moved to the big city—Toronto—to pursue an education in Journalism. Her passion is writing about lifestyle, beauty and animal rights. She’s spending the next few months interning for  Canadian Living  in the Fashion and Beauty department.  Jessica Chastain in H&M Conscious Exclusive 2015 - Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Jessica Chastain looked statuesque—maybe a little too much like a statue—in a navy beaded and silk Givenchy couture gown at last nights 87th Academy Awards. She didn’t make our  best-dressed list; we found the bodice a tad restricting. Chastain switched up her look entirely for the after party in a green dress. Don’t worry you’re not colour blind, the dress is technically beige—but it's green in eco-friendly terms.

This flirty frock is from H&M’s Conscious collection, inspired by ‘20s flapper girls, thesequined gown is made completely of recycled material. H&M Conscious focuses on clothing that is fashionable and sustainable. Pieces are made with the environment in mind for a better fashion future. Chastain attests to tree-huggers everywhere in this stunning gown—good for our planet and wallets!

All earth-talk aside, this low-cut, curve-hugging choice looks amazing on her body (what wouldn’t) and is totally post Oscar’s party appropriate. The neutral eyes and nails give attention to her ruby lips and gleaming necklace. Hollywood waves and metallic Jimmy Choos amp up the glitz for an elegant finish.
