Can you believe Kate and Wills have left Canada so soon? Just when we were getting used to having a Duchess fashion update every time we had polished off another meal, she's off to Hollywood. I've been obsessed (like the rest of Canada), with Kate's every fashion move. There's just one problem—I can't pick a favourite. Since we're talking about a Duchess here, I've decided to focus on a few of her more formal outfits, which both happen to be frocks.
First up is the midnight blue lace dress worn upon arrival in Ottawa. The designer behind the dress is Erdem Moralioglu — he's Montreal-born and London-based. Lace is such an easy sell for me, and I love the sheer sleeves and boatneck. I also love that Kate seems to circle back to ranges of blues, and can you blame her? It's obviously a great colour for her — maybe even a lucky one? And my second favourite was the silk yellow crepe Jenny Packham shirtdress Kate wore when she touched down in Calgary. I love how it doesn't stride too far away from her structured signature, but it has such a fun and flouncy element to it. And the best part part? That butter yellow shade; a fresh departure from her ivories and creams. I need your help! Which outfit did you prefer? Leave a comment below!
