There's no question, smoky eyes are always in vogue. A well executed one has the power to make you feel sultry and sexy. Just ask Kim Kardashian. That girl is addicted to dramatic smoky eyes. They may very well be permanently shellacked on. Hey! I'm not hating, she works it. [via Celebuzz!][/caption]A traditional smoky eye is a combination of charcoal black and silver shadow with a dash of highlighter used on the brow bone and inner corner of the eye. But a smoky eye doesn't have to look so flashy.  A modern one can be done in any colour and intensity. Bright, pastel, metallic or nude. Unfortunately, not everyone has the time (or dexterity!) to perfect this complicated look on a daily basis—that’s where L’Oreal Studio Secrets The One Sweep Eye Shadow comes into play. This new shadow compact features three perfectly matched shades and an ergonomically-designed applicator that promises to give the smoky eye effect without all of the fuss. Sounds like a tall order, does it really work? The colours in the Natural palette are beautiful; the deep espresso brown, lighter coppery brown and pale gold highlight suit my blue eyes perfectly. It took me a few tries to get the application right, which is understandable because everyone’s eye shape is different, but the end result was surprisingly pretty. In the future, I might try using my own shadow brushes rather than the applicator, but that’s really just a matter of personal preference. The shadows are great! Not too heavy, just the right amount of shimmer and very easy to blend.” Available at mass-market retailers and major drugstores. Photo credit: Celebuzz!
